Murano Glass Beyond the Barricades
the “new jersey” become glass works of art

The creativity of the Master Glassmakers transforms the anonymous objects of urban furniture into works of art capable of emanating color, beauty, history and culture, through the explicative force of a living material: glass.

An innovative project that has been defined as an “artistic exercise” to respond to the need of Murano to change, changing in better to transmit how glass still has a great capacity for transformation. So many stories to tell starting from the great tradition in the different processes, from mirrors to pearls, from blown glass to plate, until the traditional old Murano workmanship.

The event is part of the programming of The Venice Glass Week, the first international festival dedicated to art with the aim of placing the public’s attention on the importance and vitality of the artistic and creative activity of master glassmakers.
